Melynda Enslow

Melynda Enslow, Hospital Administrator

Originally from Connecticut, Melynda Enslow moved to North Carolina in the winter of 2004. Having worked in the human medical field prior to her move, she decided this transplant created the perfect opportunity to change careers and focus on her true passion, companion animal care. She quickly found a position at a local veterinary hospital and has worked in the animal field ever since. Over 13 years of professional experience has provided her with a unique perspective of the importance each role plays in the daily functions of a veterinary hospital.

Melynda's care and concern for companion animals ensures that exceptional customer service and quality medical care are provided to all of the hospital's clients and patients. She aims to use her skills and knowledge to guarantee that every visit delivers the best veterinary experience possible. Team growth, engagement and satisfaction are the foundation of a positive work environment and Melynda dedicates herself each day to creating this culture by example.

“Seeing our wonderful clients and their pets is the highlight of my day! We all share a common bond; an unconditional love for our furry companions.”

Melynda believes in the importance of community involvement, service and mentorship. In her free time, she volunteers as a "Big Sister" with the Big Brother Big Sister of Cabarrus County program which focuses on individual mentorship for at-risk youth. As a cancer survivor, she also volunteers her time and helps to raise money for the annual Cabarrus County Relay for Life event which supports cancer research through the American Cancer Society. As an artist, Melynda instructs painting classes for adults, teens and children through the City of Concord Parks & Recreation department.

When Melynda is not working or volunteering, she enjoys spending her free time with her 'fur-children', a Rat Terrier named Amadeus and a rescued cat named Inara. Her other hobbies include reading, writing, painting, singing, camping, drawing & baking.
